Operation Dora, Libya May 1942-Jan 1943

Operation Dora was a German special operation conducted by the Luftwaffe and the Brandenburger special forces unit in Libya. It began in May/June 1942 and had two main objectives: first, to explore the possibility of disrupting Allied supply routes through Central Africa, and second, to create geological and cartographic materials to support the Afrika Korps.(1795)(1793)(1794)(1795)(1796)
